Orion Customers

RE: SHIPPING PROCEDURES

Given the large number of caskets than Orion ships on a weekly basis, we have very few reports of damage; however, accidents do happen!

Please carefully note the following...

  • All of our caskets are individually boxed and then secured with 3 bands.

  • All orders are stacked on a pallet, 3 boxes per pallet. The pallet caskets are then banded securely together.

  • When receiving your order, please take note that the caskets are in place and that banding is intact.

  • Please inspect the boxes for any superficial damage. If you detect any sign of damage, please notify the driver before he leaves.

  • DO NOT LET THE DRIVER RUSH YOUR INSPECTION.

  • Do not sign the Bill of Lading until you have inspected your order!

  • If you suspect that there may be any damage, either note the specific damage on the Bill of Lading, or if you're uncertain as to the extent, make the notation...

"DAMAGED
SUBJECT TO INSPECTION"

All of our caskets are thoroughly inspected before leaving our facilities. There's nothing defective with the money you pay for your caskets, so there shouldn't be any defects in your caskets when they arrive.

Each order is fully insured as a protection against any mishap, but in order to help us in serving you better, your cooperation in following these simple guidelines would be greatly appreciated.
